A Sensitive Problem - deleted scene/p>

by Anne-Li

Klaus considered the Schloss, but there was too many people about. He was fairly sure Herr Hinkel had some way of knowing exactly what Klaus did when he was there and he simply didn't want the man to know - much less be given a chance to report to his father about it! His apartment in Bonn was too personal, in a way the Schloss strangely wasn't. The apartment was his own space and he didn't want to spoil the peace he often felt there. Castle Gloria or House Gloria or any other of the Earl's were out of the question as enemy territory. So, somewhere neutral, preferrably. A hotel, then. The XXXXXX in Bonn was his first thought, but he didn't book a room there. Instead he made the call to XXXXXXX, London, and booked a XXXXXX. Then he called XXXXXXX and booked a flight to Heathrow for XX:XX. Then he began to pack his clothes. Then he stopped and made another phone call, also to England, but to the Earl of Gloria, requesting his presence. Luckily, the Earl really was in England and not, for example, in Italy, Greece, Florida or Hawaii. Then he continued packing before leaving to the airport.

The flight went well, as did the drive to XXXX. The cabbie ??? did try to take the scenic route, but quickly changed his mind when Klaus explained that this was a very unhealthy idea. He was feeling a bit stressed, so perhaps it hadn't been completely necessary to explain in such detail to the driver why it was unhealthy, but it did make him feel better.
